CPC Names 11 Women on Draft List Honoring 100 Role Models of Reform, Opening-up

Lang Ping was born in north China's Tianjin in December 1960. She is the head coach of China's national women's volleyball team and vice-president of China Volleyball Association.
Lang and her teammates successfully took first place at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup, the Olympic Games and the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship from 1981 to 1986.
Since the 90s, Lang accepted the post of head coach of the Chinese team and led her players to win several championships in the international competitions when the team was in its lowest point of development.
The so-called "spirit of women's volleyball team" has been passed down through the following generations and motivated people from different sections of society to devote to China's reform and opening-up and the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.
Lang has been conferred with the National March 8th Red-Banner Holder and Beijing Model Laborers awards.
